So far this month has been really busy. Matt and I went out by ourselves for Valentine's Day to a comedy club. It was a lot of fun. I think we'll have to do that again for a date night.
We've had several game nights with our friends. Matt's birthday party was February 20th. We bought a whole sheet cake and then some of our friends started calling saying their kids were sick. Thats ok though cuz we took them cake anyways. Matt's party was a lot of fun. We get a few friends to come over that dont usually get together with us. And I think they may start doing it now.
Friday I took Breanna to the doctor for a cough and a lowgrade fever. By that night her fever hit 104. We gave her a bath and kept giving her tylenol and motrin. Saturday we called Tricare because it was still a little high. That she needed to take her antibiotic for atleast 48 hours before they could suggest anything else. So Sunday we called to make another appointment because her fever was still at 104 for the 3rd day. They didnt have any appointments available until Monday at 3pm. So we went to the emergency room. They got us to a room within 30 mins and within another 15 mins of that we saw the doctor. But we still ended up being there for about 5 hours. She got an IV with fluids and antibiotics. They also did some blood tests and bagged her for a urine sample. No, not a cath, just a plastic bag that stuck to her to catch it. The doc said we couldnt get her fever down because she was dehydrated. She had been vomiting because of the fever. What a cycle. So they got her fluids up and fever down to 99. Monday she seemed better and I cancelled her appointment an hour before we were supposed to go in. But of course, that night her fever started going up again. She seems to be just running a lowgrade fever now, but she is still laying around and not eating. I hope she gets better soon.
Matt had duty yesterday and called me last night to tell me....ooops he forgot that he was going on cruise today and wont be back until Thursday. Wonderful. Not only do I have a sick kid, but we didnt go grocery shopping because we were going to today. Plus we have a party to prepare for on friday. So the next day or so will continue to be crazy. Especially if Breanna doesnt get any better.
No pictures for today. I havent gotten them off of our camera yet. I will do that when things calm down.
Matt will be gone for most of next month. He'll be out during the week and home for the weekends...unless he has duty.
