Breanna Makes A Call

on Tuesday, December 13, 2005

Yesterday Breanna said she wanted to take a nap instead of going outside with me. So I told her I was going outside across the street to talk to the neighbor. She said "OK Mama" and jumped in her bed. Tristen was taking a nap too. So I walked across the street to talk to the neighbor. 10 minutes later, Matt got home. So I came back home and told him lets get everyone together to go to the dry cleaners. He was on the phone and said "I've got someone that wants to talk to you." He looked at me and said, "Guess who Im talking to." It was Breanna. Some how she had called him from my cell phone. He wasnt even the last person I called so it couldnt have been redial. She must have been pushing a lot of buttons to be able to call him. He said he thought that I had called him and handed the phone to her. But then when he was done talking to her, and asked where mommy was she said "mama outside." So then he decided to keep talking to her until he got home because he didnt know what was going on. It was actually pretty funny. He told her to go to the front door when he got home. And she walked up to the front door, with noting but a pullup on, talking on my cell phone to him. She thought she was funny for calling daddy too.

Tristen's Bad Day

on Monday, December 05, 2005

Yup I was flipping out. Poor baby was playing on the floor at my PTA meeting and put something in his mouth and swallowed it. He choked on it, then he started throwing up and gagging and then he started crying and screaming. Of course the latter is good news because it means he could breath. But the drooling and the throwing up persisted. We were all stunned as to what to do next. One friend was trying to call the Branch Medical Clinic while we were trying to decide if we should just call 911. We finally just called 911.

Then the fire department showed up. And of course, by that time, Tristen isn't screaming or throwing up. Just a little gagging, lots of drooling and he was so out of it. They suggested we just take him to the clinic and let his doctor look at him and get x-rays. So they stood there while another friend called for an appt. It was 10:08am, and we booked a 10:45am appt. So one of the girls kept Breanna while I took Tristen to get checked out.

Of course I got there way early...but I didn't get seen until 45 mins after my appt. And it turns out it wasn't because the doctor was behind...it was because the corpsmen were fucking off and not paying attention that he didn't have any patients in his rooms. So finally he came out and told them LESS PLAY MORE WORK! And he came out to talk to me because he recognized me....(is that even a good thing or a bad thing?)

While he was checking Tristen out, he saw that his eczema is pretty bad. (we just saw him last week for this). So he decided that he's going to give us a butt load more ointments and meds and crap because it should have been better by now. I tried to tell him I was a bad mommy and didn't get a chance to put his ointments on him all day long every day last week. Hell, I didn't even have him most of the time, Rachel did, and I didn't give her his ointment either. (It was a crazy week) But instead of just letting me still try what I had, he decided to add to it. Now I have a ton of crap to put on him. He's going to be one greasy butterball baby.

Took him to get xrays. He didn't swallow anything metal. Doesn't mean he didn't swallow a sticker burr...which is what we thought it might be. But that wont show up on the xray. So we just have to wait and watch him. He seems to be feeling ok for now. I hope it doesn't hurt on the way out as much as it hurt going down. He's so wore out by this fiasco, he just zonked out. Man I'd like to do that too!
